Krabi is a beautiful province that is becoming increasingly popular with tourists seeking a relaxing holiday. Krabi's signature limestone formations and white sandy beaches provide the perfect backdrop to chill out or try some adventure sports such as rock climbing and kayaking. The province is still fairly undeveloped with most visitors staying close to the beaches or jetting off to one of the nearby islands such as Phi Phi or Lanta, using Krabi Town as a point of departure. Ao Nang is the most visited beach with plenty of choice of accommodation with new hotels opening each season. A short boat journey from Ao Nang is Railay Bay, a small but stunning location with just a small number of resorts. Klong Muang beach, north of Ao Nang caters to more upmarket travellers with a few leading name luxury hotels and resorts.
