Rawai is a quiet fishing village at the most southerly point of the island and can be reached by a scenic coast road from Kata, popular for its spectacular view points. Rawai Beach promenade is well liked by locals for its shaded seafood restaurants, where diners sit overlooking the beach and rows of long tail boats bobbing in the water. There are Rawai Beach hotels & resorts for all budgets, although the area is not overcrowded with tourists. Some of the more upmarket Rawai Beach hotels & resorts include the Evason Phuket and the Vijitt resort.
